Construction and Culture: A Built Environment
Donald E. Mulligan with Kraig Knutson of Arizona State University
This exciting book was developed by the authors after their unsuccessful search for an appropriate text. The book is about the history of construction, but it also encompasses the connection between construction and the humanities. Construction and Culture is unique in its focus on the accomplishments of the actual builders, not just the designers of buildings.
The brand new second edition features revised chapters, exciting new graphics and photos, as well as a supplemental student CD included with every copy. Each chapter contains review questions, assignments, and exercises. An instructor’s manual and supplemental instructor CD contains suggested solutions as well as other course suggestions from the authors.
We have been very pleased to hear that new courses have been created due to this book. So if you have the appropriate course in place or if you are considering developing such a course, you should examine Construction and Culture.
Instructor's manual available upon adoption.
