History of Visual Technology

This workbook aims to acquaint the student with the wide range of technologies used to create art. In order to do this it's inescapable that it considers what these technologies were used to create: the art itself. A further goal is to help the student understand how the orientation, perspective, and philosophies-the "world view"-of each of several civilizations shaped their use of technology and the development of visual objects. Lastyly, the goal of the woorkbook is to help the student form your own perspective to be able to articulate trends in theese areas so and see a "big picture" of art, its creators, its purpose and evolution. The workbook is supplemented by various multimedia - video, exercises, worksheets - all accessible via mobile devices or traditional laptop or desktop.
